Volunteering and the Beginning

 

Healing Hands Youth Ranch experienced its humble beginnings in 2008 when Jennifer and Len Simonis chose to pour their lives into an idea. Building upon this simple thought, the pair has turned what seemed to be an idealistic dream to reality. Jennifer's volunteer heart combined with Len's dedicated character has been key to Healing Hands existence.

 

Volunteering and the Ranch Property

 

The beauty of Healing Hands is a ministry all its own. Many visitors ask for nothing more than the chance to sit for awhile and bask in its peaceful environment. Creating this environment will be quite a challenge, and the assistance and commitment of our volunteers will be the primary factor in reaching its success.

 

Volunteering for Children

 

While many of our children will benefit greatly from our riding session program, they may look for other opportunities to be involved. Allowing them to volunteer outside of session time provides them a place to be challenged and become a closer part of the ranch family. Children who choose to be more involved will labor hand-in-hand with their adult counterparts, learning from their elders, witnessing the value of a hard-day’s work, and building personal character while they are at it.
