Feb 3 - 2012 I'm back!

Hi all. Been away from writing for a while, but we're going to keep up now. We've updated the website. Please check it out. As well we've organized our first annual fundraiser. We'd really like you to come out and support us - and have fun at the same time.

We've bought some serious toys over the last year and pasture clearing has really stepped up. Lots to do now...

Come back often to keep us with us!

Thanks!

November 3rd, 2010 A special thank you to Mike and Suzanne Cincola of Cincola Studios of Canton

November 3rd, 2010

A special thank you to Mike and Suzanne Cincola of Cincola Studios of Canton.  Mike is a professional painter, he and one of his staff came out to the ranch on Wednesday to help finish painting our house.
My bible study group came out a few weeks previously and it took us 4 hours to paint the front of the house.  Thanks to Rhonda Swayze’s intervention, Mike and his staff had the whole rest of the body of the house painted in 4 hours.  I had no idea a sprayer was that fast!   All I have left is the trim, which has to be done by hand.

October 30th, 2010 - Thanks to Chad, John and Rick!

October 30th, 2010

Thank you Chad Shirley, John Vasicak and Rick Ingram for spending a Saturday afternoon helping out in repairing our barn.  They helped to complete the side wall and caulk the holes in the roof.  Slowly we are making our barn closed in to keep things dry and a little warmer for the winter.

May God continue to bless them for having a servants heart.

Sept 13 - Please keep Jennifer in your prayers

Our horse Chesney Rose took a turn for the worse this morning. I am not a vet, but I can see where this week will most likely be heading.

Please pray for my wife. She is going to have a difficult time over the next few days and she will need support from her friends in getting through this time.

Thanks!

Len

Sep 8 - Work Day a Success!

We had a work day August 28th at the ranch. We had a number of people come over from our church family, as well as some neighbors to help clean up.

We filled up our dumpster immediately! However, alot of the area around the barn got cleaned up. We added paneling and wood to the side of the barn, as well as cleaned up some of the old railroad ties. Ann cleaned up some of the fence line.

Over the next couple of months, we hope to accomplish the following:

Bushog and chop down the trees in the front pasture.

Get another dumpster and fill it.

Open House - May 23rd

We'll be hosting an Open House, Sunday May 23rd at the Ranch 1-4. Come on by and see how we're doing and our plans, Directions are under The Ranch page....

See you Sunday!

May 16 Christmas at the ranch

Yesterday was Christmas at the ranch. We have received our 70HP Kubota tractor with all kinds of implements, an RTV Kubota utility vehicle and Commercial 60" zero turn Kubota lawnmower.

Now we really need help. We need to bushog pastures neglected for 4 years and fence lines that have overgrown that need to be cleared.

We also hope to clear a ton of debris around the barn to prepare for the round pen and arena. The tools to do the job right are here, we just need you :)

Please contact Jennifer if you can help.

Have a great week!

May 11 - We're getting the word out!

Its been a great couple of weeks for HHYR. First, Jennifer, Candace and Danna went to the Brad Sugars Business is Booming! seminar and set up a booth. They were able to establish some contacts and start getting the word out about HHYR.

On Sunday, May 23rd, we'll be hosting a small Open House at 1:00 pm to start showing folks around the place. That is if the grass is low enough! ( Dang stuff grows).

Meanwhile, I continue to get our adminstrative "house" in order and hope to have the business necessities in place soon.

Stay turned for my weekly updates!

Apr 27 10 Things are moving along!

April 27th 2010

Now that we have started to settle in to the place, we have been getting our "double wide" ready to move in. Hoover and I have been painting, Kevin has been cutting the grass and Jennifer has been getting the barn organized as best as possbile. The kids are concerned about the impact on their social lives.

We've added some air conditioning to the house and hope to move permanently in the near future.

Mark has been busy bush hogging, but it must not be working, because the grass  is tall again!
